A chance to have and hold a piece of real American History. Thomas Edison, with over 1000 patents to his name, in his search to find a tree from which rubber could be made planted hundreds of trees and plants at his winter estate in Ft Myers, Florida. One of these trees was the Morton Bay Fig tree which was planted by Edison around 1914. In later years the estate turned into the Edison/Ford Museum in Ft Myers, Florida and in 1994 the tree collapsed partially into Henry Ford's yard. The tree was removed and a large piece of the wood was turned into a statue of Edison on display today in Ft Myers. Some of this wood was auctioned off and Woodpenman obtained a VERY limited supply. This very rare, historical Morton Bay Fig Wood pen makes a great gift to cherish and add to your personal collection. Available NOW!
